A Symposium of Discovery –
Agritourism and the Creative Economies in Georgia
So what is Agritourism? How can I learn about best practices in Agritourism in Georgia and other surrounding Southeastern states? Is there any type of networking group or association I can participate in to help grow my Agritourism efforts? What agency, organization or group is in charge of fostering the development of Agritourism in Georgia?
If you have questions like these and more, you just must mark your calendar for November 13th and 14th and make plans to join us at the Agricenter in Perry, Georgia, to give statewide attention and acknowledgement to the need for a formal Agritourism Association in Georgia.
During this two day discovery period, we plan to identify highly interested parties who want to further the discussion on the formation of the association by forming a steering committee to guide the association and develop policy. Future goals include creation of a statewide Master Plan for Agritourism based on this group's recommendations and form an Agritourism Education and Outreach Program.
